Top 22 Book Recommendations: 2019

I have a process. Some might say I’m a bit weird. Some might be code for everyone. That’s fine, I have embraced my process-loving self.

Okay, back to the process.

I have a process. Whenever I get a book, I will read the book. Once I read the book, if the book meets my criteria, it is then allowed to take up shelf space. If the book does not meet my criteria, bye bye bookie. I am very intense with my shelf space. No shelf space wasted over here. You want shelf space? You better be a good book, worthy of that shelf space.

Once you make it to the shelf space, you will then be color-coded and organized, potentially several times a year. Don’t fear, you are welcome here my worthy, color-coded, nicely organized, book.

I love reading just as much as I love organizing, so it’s not surprising (to me) that my brain has combined these two things in this way.

I used to read so many books a week, I needed two library cards. Because I get sucked into books very easily and won’t put them down until I have finished, my propensity for devouring absurd amounts of books significantly decreased as I became an adult.

However, in the last couple of years, I have jumped back on the reading bandwagon.

It would bring me so much joy to share with you the books that have earned their rightful place on my bookshelf for 2019. If you purchase any of the books below via the links on this page, I will receive a small payment from Amazon that will help fund future book reviewing. I will also receive a small smile from myself. Okay, a big smile.

These are the books I read in 2019 that have earned, nay, DESERVE, shelf space in your home.

  1. These types of posts are some of my favorite! I absolutely adore book recommendations (even though I’m embarrassed to admit how little reading I’ve done in the past year outside of school). Thank you for sharing this list! I still have to read Becoming.. that one is a must, I’ve heard! The forensics one is particularly intriguing to me too! Oh my goodness, you have read so many- and I love your diverse taste in books. Thank you tons for sharing. Bookmarking this to come back to throughout the year!
